Is there a Limit/Cap on Peanuts?
Students earn Peanuts for every exercise they complete on This is School. There is a limit on the number of Peanuts students can earn on each of the exercises on This is School; we introduced these caps to keep students motivated and engaged.
For example, a Comprehension exercise made up of 6 questions has a maximum of 12 Peanuts available for students to earn.
If a student completes this exercise and gets 5 answers right, they’ll earn 10 Peanuts.
If a student completes this exercise and gets 5 answers right, they’ll earn 10 Peanuts.
If they have another go, they will only get the Peanuts that represent the difference between the scores, so if they get 6 out of 6 this time, they’ll get 2 Peanuts.
Once they've achieved the maximum score, students can continue to complete the same exercise but they will not earn any more Peanuts to encourage them to move on to new exercises.
Whether a student receives Peanuts for an exercise or not, their scores will always be recorded. You can see this in their activity log:
