How do I set up students and classes for a new school year?
Here is everything you need to know to make the new school year a breeze!
In this article:
Part 1: Remove last year's classes
- Hover over your name in the top right-hand corner and select My Classes.
- Click on the class you no longer need and select the Edit Class tab.
- Click Archive Class.
Part 2: Add new classes
- Hover over your name in the top right-hand corner and select My Classes.
- Click Add a class.
- Fill in the class details and click Add a Class.
- On the following page, EITHER:
- Type in the first and last names of the students in the class
OR
- Click Copy/paste students and copy and paste students' names into the box - Click Next
- On the next page you can review the students who will be added into your new class.
If the system spots that one of the students you are adding already has an account, you'll see a yellow button appear which says 'Choose an option'. Click on this button and then select the student's profile from the cards below. - Once you are happy that the list of students is correct, click Save.
- The final page shows the registration codes that students who are brand new to the site will need to use to login for the first time. EITHER:
- Display this screen at the front of the class and let students copy down their code
OR
- Click Download Printout to get a paper copy of the codes to hand out to students.
