How do I assign a points target?
Our Points Target initiative is a great way to trigger some independent learning and helps save you time when it comes to assigning work!
Rather than searching for and assigning specific exercises, assigning a Points Target allows you to indicate the number of points (=peanuts) you would like your students to earn during a specific time frame, giving them the freedom to pick what they'd like to work on.
Here's how to do it:
1. Navigate to the Points Target feature clicking on the tile on your homepage.

2. Select the class you would like to assign the Points Target to, as well as the start and due date for the assignment.
3. Next, narrow down the exercise types you would like your students to focus on by un- ticking the boxes next to each assignment type as desired. If you've opted to include any video assignments, choose the minimum video difficulty level that will count towards your students' Points Target.

You can track whether your students have achieved their Points Target by visiting the assignment in the relevant class. Not sure how to do this?
Student's Points Target not showing as completed?
- To complete a Points Target, students must earn their peanuts (points) between the start and due dates given for the assignment. Peanuts earned outside of this period will not count towards their points target assignment.
- Only peanuts earned from the exercise types selected when you set the Points Target will count towards the completion of a student's assignment. Your students will be able to see which exercise types are applicable to their Points Target by visiting their Assignments log.
